Washington state 2009 Election Results

It looks like the 2009 Washington State Election results have already started coming in, with the official vote from the ballot starting at 8:00 PM PST. These will just be preliminary numbers to start, as the ballots will continue being counted through the night.

There are some very key issues that are getting voted on, in this year’s Washington State Election. This includes the Washington State Referendum 71 on domestic partner rights and the Washington Initiative 1033, on state and local revenue caps.

The City of Spokane will also be voting on four propositions in this year’s ballot, as well as three Spokane City Council positions. The propositions include a Spokane Bill of Rights, funding for a Community Bill of Rights and a new Fire Bond as well.

By the looks of things at the moment, 59.0% of the people have voted yes to the Spokane Proposition 1, which is the General Obligation Fire Bonds. As for the Spokane Proposition 4, which is the Bill of Rights, it looks like 75.0% have voted no.
